For a simple, yet accurate means of measuring linear velocity. The design permits operation without any supply voltage as the moving core magnet induces a DC voltage within the shielded coil structure relative to its velocity. These transducers are ideal for instantaneous velocity measurements in many applications from hydraulics to seismology.
